There are many common perceptions about personality differences between men and women, including that women are more empathetic than men and that men are more verbally dominant than women. Data shows that these perceptions are not factually grounded.
Mean differences for The Birkman Method scores across genders are not behaviorally significant. If a mean of a gender's scores are up to 10 percentile points higher or lower than the other gender's, the difference will not manifest itself by observation and is not behaviorally significant.
