Each member of the targeted job population (minimum of 15 high performers and 15 low performers) completes an online Birkman questionnaire. This typically requires a valid email address for each person completing the questionnaire. Instructions and access to the questionnaire will be provided by the Birkman Research & Development department.
With all the collected data, Birkman researchers conduct several types of analyses to determine which (if any) Birkman scale best discriminate between high and low performers. Using the results of these analyses, Birkman Research and Development created a validated selection profile. The cut-scores for this profile are further determined based on the selection ratio needs of the company. Besides the profile to be used by the company, Birkman research writes documentation for the profile.
Once Birkman provides the company with associated profile documentation and guidance on the appropriate, legal, and effective use of the profiles, a basic profile report is available containing simple designations regarding the fit to the profile and is designed for “employment pre-screening.” More advanced profile reporting is available which includes increased explanation of those data and is designed for use directly in the interview process.
In general, the estimated time for profile completion is eight weeks from the point that all data has been collected.
Birkman has Job Selection Profile samples and pricing available upon request. If interested, contact Birkman at support@birkman.com
