While the Birkman is a very good instrument, like any assessment, it is not perfect and there will be times it misses on a particular score. If this happens:
*Validate the client’s perception that the particular score missed him/her and move on.
* Remember, just because one score might be a little off, it doesn’t invalidate the entire report.
*Encourage your client to speak to a spouse, family member or friends. Often times, the people closest to us see us in a different light than we see ourselves.
